Kentgrove Village

Kentgrove Village is a small and friendly retirement village operated by UnitingCare Ageing – Western Region, a part of the community outreach of the Uniting Church in Australia. It consists of 49 independent (self-care) units.

The Village is adjacent to the Kenthurst Uniting Church, and its construction was a vision of the then Parish to which the church was attached. The church continues to have a close association with the residents, providing pastoral care and joint activities.

The Kenthurst shops are within walking distance (about half a kilometre away), and there is a local bus service to Castle Hill, which has a major shopping centre.

Village News    October 2017

We at Kentgrove were saddened at the passing of our dear friend and neighbour Peter Jones. What a gentle gentleman he was and we miss him greatly.

Renovations of several vacant Villas have been taking place for several months now making this very attractive for prospective buyers wishing to purchase and move in. We do look forward to “Peace” again though. We certainly are “The Garden Village”. We invite you to take a walk and admire our beautiful gardens.

The cooler months over Winter didn't stop us from our regular activities.

Our monthly Dinner & Theme nights have been popular and our last Theme was watching on the screen photos of our gardens around The Village. Spotting some absolutely beautiful flowers and shrubs that have been lovingly nurtured by our Residents in their gardens. We thank Rod Mackenzie for his photography.

The 2nd Tuesday each month is Communion.
Tuesday afternoon once a month is Bingo.
The last Tuesday of each month is Ladies Craft Morning.
Each Wednesday afternoon is Games afternoon.

We are working hard towards our yearly Garage Sale which is on Saturday 14th October from 8am until 1pm. We have a wonderful variety of everything!! We do invite you to join us.

We are now looking towards the end of the year and we wish you all at Kenthurst Uniting Church our very best of wishes and good health.

Kind regards
