Kentgrove Village

Kentgrove Village is a small and friendly retirement village operated by UnitingCare Ageing – Western Region, a part of the community outreach of the Uniting Church in Australia. It consists of 49 independent (self-care) units.

The Village is adjacent to the Kenthurst Uniting Church, and its construction was a vision of the then Parish to which the church was attached. The church continues to have a close association with the residents, providing pastoral care and joint activities.

The Kenthurst shops are within walking distance (about half a kilometre away), and there is a local bus service to Castle Hill, which has a major shopping centre.

Village News    July 2018

Greetings from Kentgrove Village. We have recently welcomed a couple of new Residents into our Village here at Kentgrove and fortunately they have settled in very nicely.

Renovations are taking place as I speak renovating Villas for new Residents, paving courtyards for entertaining and new fencing.

Our regular activities are popular. These are ~ Games afternoons, Ladies craft mornings, Bingo afternoons, Communion once a month and our Dinner evenings. I have organised a couple of Hot Chocolate afternoon Teas with a splash of marshmallows for cold Winter afternoons.

Christmas in July is coming up in a couple of weeks with Roast Chicken and Vegetables followed by Home Made Christmas Pudding and all the trimmings of Christmas. This will be a fun event with the songs of Christmas in the background.

We wish the congregation at Kenthurst Church all the very best.

Kind regards
Gwenda Mackenzie
