From Kenthurst Community News, 16 March 2013
Our Crossroads Group has been meeting at
Kenthurst Uniting Church for the past 17 years
under the guidance of Maureen Warden.
These physically disabled young people come
together to enjoy many different projects, on
a Thursday afternoon, 4.30pm to 5.30pm over
the school term.
Each year we study a different country and
this year we are looking at life in Australia.
On Thursday, 21st February, an Aboriginal
dance group came and presented a wonderful
display of song and dance for the Crossroads
Group. It was a spectacular display and our
young people were invited join in some of
the dances and enjoyed taking part. The
didgeridoo was played by a young man with great
knowledge of this instrument and many musical
sounds filled the church with beautiful sounds. They
sang a Blessing song in their language to complete
the afternoon.
We express our thanks to this lovely group for sharing
their talents with us.
